Cruise operator Holland America Line is launching its “See the World from Your Doorstep” campaign, highlighting the cruise line’s leadership in roundtrip travel from US homeports, in response to an increase in travelers wanting to explore international destinations without taking international flights.
It’s a sign of how numerous recent airline interruptions and cancellations have affected travelers’ psychological well-being.
According to a recent Cruise Critic poll, 82% of respondents from the US said they would rather fly to a domestic port to board an international cruise.
In order to avoid a lengthy flight, Holland America Line offers roundtrip sailings from Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, San Diego, or Seattle.
The company visits 225 ports in 91 countries on more trips lasting over 15 nights roundtrip from the US than any other cruise line.
For passengers who want to cruise around the globe or discover Africa, South America, or Australia, Holland America Line offers four Grand Voyages, all of which depart from the US roundtrip.
Month-long cruises include roundtrip itineraries to Hawaii, Tahiti, and the Marquesas from San Diego or to Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and the British Isles from Boston.
In addition to longer cruises, Holland America Line also offers vacations of 15 nights or less roundtrip from a US departure port and from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to popular destinations such the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Canada, Alaska, and Mexico.
